Mine arrived broken. The digital temperature display only shows the first number and part of the last number, so I had to do some mental math to set it up the way I wanted. It warmed up and worked pretty well. I love the brush design. It went through my three foot thick hair easily. I don't find it easy to open. Typically, a digital screen reader is easy to fix. Most likely, the wire between the contacts of the screen and the temperature control chip has come loose. The buttons work well, I'm satisfied. It is likely that the brush I received fell off during production and someone quickly picked it up and put it back to work without testing. I have the necessary skills to repair analog electronics, so this error is not a big deal to me. It would be a hassle for someone else and should be sent back. Buyer Warning.
