It's like a million other little devices. Was a bit annoyed that it's a 4 channel screen which appears to come with 8 channel display software but at least it hasn't failed in the weeks we've had from four screens to eight. That would be annoying as we got it to replace the 8ch which does NOT stick to showing only the four cameras we wanted on any given monitor. So far it's been "set it and forget it" and we're pretty happy with it. Seems to be happy with any hard drive that will fit, short term and very easy to install with software prompts, but be aware that for long term use you need a good quality video hard drive, not something lying around.
