Maybe it's not Downy Naturals, but I can use Gain fabric softener with ease. I have mildly sensitive skin and can tolerate most fragrances but not harsh detergents. I'm so thankful I only washed half my clothes with this product. The first time I put on a shirt made from this material I felt slightly uncomfortable for about 30 minutes and then moderately until I started to sweat a little. Once that thing got into my pores, oh my god. I was BURN, ITCH and crumble! and with friends who noticed my red spotted neck before me. After some Benadryl I attributed it to an odd occurrence since I didn't even think to change my detergent. After 2 days I put on my work pants and after a few minutes I felt a (now familiar) itchy burn on my thighs where my skin was in full contact with the fabric, I immediately switched to a pair of pants from my closet that didn't touched material. Besides, the feeling is gone. Smells great for those who don't have sensitive skin.
