I connected it to the USB 3.1 interface as well as an extra power adapter via the micro USB slot, but it couldn't handle the devices I was connected to , don't turn it on. Also it got messed up due to the USB configuration of the laptop and I disabled an unplugged USB port so I had to go to Device Manager in Windows to disable and re-enable that port and restart the laptop. When I did this, the USB port turned on, but when I tried to use the hub again, the *other* USB port suddenly turned off and I had to repeat the process through Device Manager and restart, to turn it back on. After that I never plugged in that USB hub again because I can only invest so much patience and time into giving away such a poor device.
