Actually, I am returning this product. It cannot transmit enough power to all 4 ports at the same time. I put it by my bed to charge my devices overnight including my iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods and a small fan. The fan could barely run at full speed and my Apple Watch wouldn't charge. I think I need one that plugs directly into an outlet, not a USB port.

I had BIG problems with a USB to Ethernet Gigabit network adapter plugged into this background. (I've had no problems using the same NIC with other USB hubs, even at high baud rates, so it's not a NIC.) Returned it and bought an Anker brand USB hub and I've had no problems at all (tested transmission of several gigabytes of data in both directions on the new hub).

My favorite USB hub at work. I will order another one for home. The data transfer speed between two external hard drives is different from my old hub. I'm by no means a "pro" at this, but I've dealt with enough computer glitches in my time that I now only back up to 2 and 3 places - or download files from work to take home and to keep working, so I'm always copying things from one hard drive to another.

Smart Q arrived quickly and safely. After connecting it to my desktop computer, I connected my Fitbit 3 charger to the Smart Q, which appeared to be running at around 50%, whereupon my watch reported that it wasn't transferring enough power to continue charging. If it's the standard I'll be disappointed as it's one of the main things I wanted it for. To be honest I will try again when the time comes and hope for the best. Vera L

I connected it to the USB 3.1 interface as well as an extra power adapter via the micro USB slot, but it couldn't handle the devices I was connected to , don't turn it on. Also it got messed up due to the USB configuration of the laptop and I disabled an unplugged USB port so I had to go to Device Manager in Windows to disable and re-enable that port and restart the laptop. When I did this, the USB port turned on, but when I tried to use the hub again, the *other* USB port suddenly turned off…

I finally needed a USB 3 hub for my 2019 iMac and from everything I've seen I've settled on this SmartQ hub. I don't think I need separate on/off buttons, so all those hubs have been ruled out - more stuff that can break on fire and waste power. I wanted an easy to use desktop hub with a 30cm cable. Finally, I preferred to get one with a port for extra extra power should I ever need it. The foot-length cord is the perfect length to have room to move and not have excess length that reduces…
