Many reviews say it's difficult to set up. No, that is not so. Setup took 30 seconds: 15 seconds to read the instructions and 15 seconds to get to the router and connect it. I bought a TP-Link N300 WiFi Range Extender (refurbished) for $13, mainly because it has an Ethernet jack (on the bottom) that allows me to connect my old laptop with a broken WiFi card directly to it. This allows me to connect a WiFi extender anywhere in the house and on the porch and use a laptop's wired ethernet connection. The WiFi signal is strong for my other WiFi devices. Other reviews said the device died after a few months of use. If this happens I will change my rating but for now this thing is perfect. If it only lasts a few months, $13 would still be worth it.
