Review on ๐Ÿงฅ Columbia Pourable Women's EvaPOURation Jacket by David Crowder

NO LINING to prevent bare skin from sticking to the rubbery membrane!

I would LOVE this raincoat except that it has NO lining and if you're wearing a short sleeve top your skin will definitely cling to the rubbery membrane that sits on the underside of the fabric. Many rainy days in California are actually pretty warm, so I don't want to wear anything with long sleeves under this jacket, and I found the sticky membrane rubbing against my bare skin uncomfortable. Fortunately, there's a good substitute for an equally lightweight rain jacket with a thin mesh lining, the highly rated Columbia Arcadia II Women's Jacket, Black, Medium. The only downside is that the Arcadia II jacket doesn't have armpit zips, but to be honest I didn't particularly care about the look of the Evapuration jacket with the open armpits as they made the jacket look ridiculous in contrast to my heavier raincoat from NorthFace . . , which looks great with the armpit vents fully open. As many others have pointed out, it's a good idea to get the Evaporation or Arcadia II Columbia raincoats a size or two larger than you normally wear, especially if you need a larger room. to wear something thick underneath.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • The list will go on.
