The sound is acceptable, but nothing more. There is no "porridge at medium frequencies", as some write. In the range of 500 Hz - 3 kHz, everything is just right. But at 4 kHz it’s already a failure, and from 16 kHz there is almost no sound anymore (you have to twist the equalizer by +7 dB in order to hear something at 16 kHz). Although, perhaps it is my ears that no longer hear 16 kHz. Or the DAC of my phone does not know how to give them out, but this is unlikely. See the picture of the compensation frequency response (equalizer settings), which turned out in the Neutralizer. The picture was taken on Huawei P30 Pro, the headphones are connected via an analog USB-C -> mini-jack 3.5mm adapter. My ears. :) For comparison, I post a similar profile for my old and quite beautiful Sennheiser PXC-450. As you can see, Sony's performance is even smoother than Sennheiser's.
