Bought this for a friend who has shaky hands but loves his morning oatmeal. It now reheats oatmeal in the microwave without using large, unwieldy oven mitts or oven mitts, as the bowls stay cool enough to handle without oven mitts. We've tried ceramic, plastic, and glass bowls, and when he's not worried about getting burned, he's worried about dropping the bowl and breaking it, causing a big messy problem. Until he burned himself and dropped something. Now he uses those bowls for other foods he needs to reheat. You have contributed a lot to his independence.
