It really works!

I have a 2006 Chevy Impala. I made sure I bought this year's remote shell. It was pretty easy to set up. All the "guts" from the old remote come out and fit perfectly into the new case. I've read that some people have had issues with their existing key going into a groove in the bottom of the case. But if you find that the little black shroud that fits on top of the key fits snugly on the key, then place it with the key in the groove but make sure it's facing the right way. . You can compare how the same black body fits into the old shell and fits exactly into the new one. There's also a small lip that snaps into place when placed correctly. You can then simply close the top of the shell and snap into place. I then screwed in the screw but used the small Phillips head I already had because it had a better grip for more torque than the small screwdriver that came with it. After I screwed the screw almost to the end, there was still a small hole on one side where the key is. I took a hammer and LIGHTLY tapped the top of the sink and it closed nice and flush. I then screwed the screw all the way in and tested the remote and it works great.
