The extra reinforcement at the junction of metal and buttons with plastic is good, but the front and back did not click properly. I had to sandpaper the reinforcement to make it match. Then a small screw broke out of the plastic! I relied on my trusted super glue to make the build acceptable. Definitely not Honda quality plastic!

My original key fob broke so all I had to do was replace the plastic case. It worked but even when I assembled everything it didn't close 100% but it was close. I seem to have been using it for about a month and a half now and yesterday it started to come loose even though the screw was still there. The easy fix was to just use crazy glue and squeeze it together. Now it's like new again!

My daughter attached the original plastic key fob to her Honda Fit. The blade and electronics were fine, so I bought these projectiles. The electronics fit into the keychain, and the blade was pressed in firmly and held in place with the included screw (and screwdriver!). Used on a 2014 Honda Ridgeline SE with no problem. You have to destroy the old key fob case to remove the chip, but mine was already broken and glued together so it didn't matter. Great kit, the only thing stopping it from being a 5 star is the plastic which feels cheap and brittle, certainly not OEM quality. I would pay double for that. I have a 2006 Chevy Impala. I made sure I bought this year's remote shell. It was pretty easy to set up. All the "guts" from the old remote come out and fit perfectly into the new case. I've read that some people have had issues with their existing key going into a groove in the bottom of the case.
