I have never used watercolor pencils. I can't compare it to any other brand. I found them easy to use. The brush pen took a little time and play to figure it out. I've attached before and after water holiday card images and a stained glass coloring book page from Dover's little project. I was very excited to see the stained glass results. So far it's like using a feather pen for me. I definitely recommend this if you're drawing (I can't draw a straight line with a ruler). If you like painting like me, you can double your project time. But it's worth the time and effort. My Christmas cards this year will be next level!
