This controller cover is mainly for protection. Although the leather is a textured design, it is primarily for protection and not to prevent slipping or pinching. The included thumb caps are cool if you want to protect the thumbsticks and prevent them from deteriorating like the ones released for PlayStation 4, but I used the ones I bought for my PS4 which have an embossed texture for protection and grip . All in all, this is a great way to secure your controller for less than $9. My favorite color is royal blue, so of course I went with blue, but there's also white and black.
