I bought this because I needed an eSATA port multiplier for my 4 hard drive enclosure that has eSATA + USB 3.0. Installed the card in a Win 7x64 system and installed the default drivers. Updated to the latest version from the Silicon Image site for SIL3132 (BASE drivers) and BIOS and it "seems to be working". Until the computer goes to sleep and I turn off the case to save power. When the computer wakes up from sleep mode and you turn on the eSATA enclosure, the hard drives are not recognized. The same case works fine with USB 3.0 connected and waking you up from sleep. The only way to get it working again is to do a full reboot when waking from sleep if you want to see the drives in eSATA mode again. If you start the PC with eSATA drives connected, it takes forever to boot up (5 minutes with an SSD in the OS?). reboot. Even tried HotSwap! and it didn't help.
