This is our second. First there was aluminum. It worked really well but we worked really hard on it and eventually the bike arm broke. But after more than three years of lugging our 85 pound dog up and down dirt trails and rocky roads, the first one has served us well! The company also offers excellent customer service. We had to replace another part a few years ago and we did it for free within 3 days. We also camped with the latter, carried the dog in and stacked 2 tents and 2 chairs on top! Plus a few other things. Once the camp was set up, my son would go to the camp owner and fill him up with firewood for our fires. The training really worked! Wouldn't try any other brand. This one is steel and I hope it will hold up as well as our aluminum.
