Review on Enhanced Boss PH2.1500 Phantom 3000W Mosfet Amplifier - 2-Channel Bridgeable with Remote Control by Richard Kuntz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

It is what it is. TO UPDATE. UPDATE

I finally installed this amp and hooked it up to my 1937 Chevy Hot Rod. I also bought 2 Boss 10" 2100 watt DVC subwoofers. I connected the subs to 2 ohms and used both amplifier channels (not 4 ohm bridged). Sounds ok but then the sound quality sucks. They are what they are , cheap thing . The remote bass boost controller doesn't work, which annoys me because it would be really handy for other music. I could try connecting the subs in series/parallel (4 ohms) and hooking up an amp to see if the audio is right quality gets better but i doubt it gets better.. and burns out. actually it's only cheap if it lasts a while and doesn't die instantly as i've read in countless reviews i will be amazed...I wanted to put a sound system in my hot rod just to have something in it...you hear the premium sound anyway...All in all I think a person would be further afield if they could only do that Money they would pay for puts it in well e things like JL Audio, Alpine, Rockford Fosgate, even Pioneer have them really good stuff. I know I won't be spending any more money on this cheap stuff. To update. I mentioned that the remote bass level control doesn't work. I went to the Boss website and emailed them to tell them about it. I was surprised to receive a reply from a real person in less than 24 hours. They send me a new controller within a few days of my first email. So I have to compliment Boss Audio's support team. But. If you plan to call her. be prepared to wait. I was on hold for 25 minutes before I could speak to anyone. The bass level control works. As if. It only works when the amp is set to LOW, not FULL or HIGH. Simply LOW. So that's about a third worthless!
