I have all the tools and skills to do my job. KYB Gas A Just or Blistien dampers for my truck? I installed KYB on all four corners of the truck this year 2018. They had everything they promised, improved handling and a slightly stiffer ride. OK, I can live with that. Not correct! Handling was excellent, with my truck making a big difference in terms of body roll and nose dip under braking. But the ride was so bumpy it kicked my truck to death. I was afraid of damaging my truck. Some of the reviews I've read about KYB shocks have mentioned a rough ride. Time to make changes before I break or damage anything. Installed blistiens on all four corners. Handling isn't as great as the KYB shocks and they're a little softer to ride. But the compromise is much more suitable for everyday use. The ride is not as harsh as the KYB shocks. All this is nothing new. I've read a lot of reviews about both brands and they say pretty much the same thing about both brands. The difference between them is the inner shock. Both have a high-pressure mono-tube design. Both are great shocks and I would recommend either one. But Blistiens stays on my truck. I really liked the KYB shocks, the way they improved my truck's handling and made it stiffer. But for me it was too difficult. The Blistiens helped improve the truck's handling, and the ride was a little rougher, not harsh.
