I got this product planning to add some extra light to my EZGO S4 golf cart. It definitely accomplished that in a fairly straightforward, effective manner.The Pros:-EASY install for anyone with basic electricity knowledge-Fairly quick install for a golf cart. The directions were accurate and the wiring harness had plenty of length for plug and play.-The switch fits the "extra” spot on EZGO default dash set up.-Brightness. Good. Golly. The brightness is awesome with this light. It exceeds my expectations.-Quality. I was skeptical, but the overall quality is great for the price. I do not have any hesitation that this will last and be appropriately water proof.-Packaging was nice and secure. I’d guess there should be very few broken units with the way this item was packaged. Neat and efficient.The Cons:-Missing multi-adjustable mount. I was missing the secondary mounting bracket that allowed for multiple adjustments on the light. This was a key purchasing point for me. I attempted customer support, but they wanted to do a full return. Me being me, figured I didn’t need to waste both parties time and found a solution (keep reading for that).-Relatively vague dimensions. I based this order on the dimensions given. Be ware, those wanting to mount this on an EZGO brush guard, you’ll need to get a bit creative to make this fit easily. The adjustable mounting bushings will be pushed to their absolute limits to make this work, but it WILL work.-Limited directions. Granted (as stated above), if you have even a minor understanding of electrical installation, you’ll be fine. But for those DIYers with a limited background, you may want to invite a buddy over to help make sure you do some parts of the install right.So what did I do to make this work without the pictured bracket.-Changed the mounting bolt to a 5/16x1.5” bolt and a 5/16 nut. (Remove the end with 3 screws to slide out the old nut and insert the new nuts)-Move the plastic bushing our to the absolute limit of the light-Start both bolts through the default EZGO mount holes so that they both barely bite.-Equally tightened both sides to keep it centered on the brush guard.-I got them "snug” without over tightening. This was easily accomplished without anything fancy.-I upgraded the crimps to proven water proof crimps that I’ve used before. This is not a manufacturer problem, I just wanted to make sure I KNEW it would be waterproof.-Carefully removed the EZGO blank in the dash. This can be tricky at first if you have not done this before. Take your time, work around the "anti fall out” blank. It will come out nice and clean, take your time.Overall, I suggest this product. It is definitely worth more than its price. Just expect to make a couple modifications for your application and do not work out of your ability. I will definitely recommend this light to other golf cart owners I know.
