Review on Joby GorillaPod 1K Flexible Mini-Tripod with ZAYKiR Phone Adapter, Enhanced for SEO by Len Cooper

So far so good. This thing looks and does what I expected. I have a 1K model that is supposed to work with mirrorless cameras and I'm using it with a Sony A6000. I don't use a rotating head or anything, just a tripod and camera. It's a bit fiddly to align it by adjusting the legs, but you get used to it. I have yet to try to mount the Gorillapod to a tree but I can already see that without an adjustable ball head (sold separately) it will be quite difficult to adjust the camera/phone height. Most of the negative reviews I've read were about joints that lose strength and flex easily. I see it happening. The top 3 joints (topmost, for each leg) seem to be getting more stress and I can definitely imagine them losing strength at some point. So far I am satisfied with the purchase. Oh an unexpected pleasant surprise was the bonus phone holder I received. I wasn't expecting much from this, but it's simple, durable, and useful. You can actually use the clip to mount a GoPro or even an A6000 in it very securely. Additionally, it uses a standard tripod mount in 3 different locations, providing unexpected flexibility (see photos). Overall happy with it. I'll get back to you in a few months.
