We ordered an additional dog training collar receiver because we have two dogs and want to control both dogs' collars from the same transmitter. The collar was easy to pair with the transmitter, just make sure the transmitter is unlocked and the dog training collar receiver is charging. Not sure -----------? charging time. When we need to charge for the first time, we will update our rating. Lost 1 of 4 battery bars after two days of use. Pros ------ + An extra USB charger is included with the collar. We can charge two collars at the same time, or one collar and one transmitter.+ The included collar is an adjustable 1 inch black nylon webbing collar versus a plastic collar that is cut to fit the collar. The collar easily fits our two 50+ lbs. The receiver can be worn on a variety of 1 inch wide collars. DC 2 oz (58g), PT 2.125 oz (60g), MO 2.25 (62g)+ The receiver has an auto power off function if the receiver has not been moved for a while. However, this is not very good when you want to call a sleeping dog. (We have taught our dogs to come to us for a treat when they hear a beep.) Cons -------- The collar is not waterproof at all. Of the three collars, two died, but died after the dogs moved around in the lake, not swimming. We made sure the plugs were closed before the dogs got into the lake. We also checked the plugs after the dogs got into the lake, the plugs were still closed. Water dripped from the port. No beep, no vibration, no shock, the transmitter shows no battery, no beeps and no indicators while charging. The response I received from customer service was "We do not recommend your dog swimming with a collar." Not exactly what I expected reading about a collar that claims "100% waterproof". to be. The receiver is bigger than the competition*. Dog Care's receiver is 1/3 longer than the two competition collars we've owned. MO 2.5", PT 2.625" DC 3.5" - the receiver has a blinking green LED that cannot be disabled. However, the lock function is superfluous, since the transmitter itself has a nice on/off switch. With an on/off switch, we wish the lock function could simply block the discharge button while the horn and vibrate buttons still work. + The transmitter has battery indicators for both the transmitter and the active receiver. + The transmitter fits comfortably in the hand due to its size (see transmitter size) + Comes with a bracelet for locating the transmitter. Not quite what I expected reading about a collar advertised as "100% waterproof" - there is only one USB charging cable, so you can charge the transmitter or receiver at the same time. Unless you buy an optional collar that comes with its own USB charging cable - The transmitter is longer than the competition* - The transmitter does not have a flashlight function. The MO transmitter has a flashlight and is useful for night walks and dog trapping. - The transmitter does not have a belt clip on the back. Both MO and PT transmitters have belt clips on the back of the transmitter. Another way to hold the transmitter. The receiver is bigger than the competition*.
