Super cute and if you know anything about this type of tunnel the wire should be there to strengthen it. Yes, it will bother an adult's knees/shins, but it's made for kids and is best used on carpet or grass so the wire doesn't accidentally snag on it. If the kid you buy hits their stuff, yes they will tear or break over time, but for the price it's a lot of fun! Worth buying.
