Review on HP W2338H 23-Inch Widescreen Monitor with Wide Screen and 60Hz Refresh Rate by Doll Nagabothu

Good display - wrong exchange policy

I received my new monitor on August 20, 2010 and installed it the next day. On September 20, 2010, the monitor died. After reading numerous "specs" and reviews of various monitors online, I decided to buy the w2338h based on four criteria: 1) It has a stronger stand than any other large screen monitor I've considered. 2) The W2338h was the only monitor on my shortlist that was glossy. 3) The monitor has internal speakers (I only used them for a few seconds for testing; but I wanted them just in case I need to troubleshoot audio issues in the future). Shoot). In these four areas, the w2338h met, if not exceeded, my expectations. Based on that and the quality of the display, I would easily give this monitor four or five stars. The reason I can't do this is based solely on HP's replacement policy. Although the monitor was only used for 30 days (and was only manufactured five months before it broke {Date of Manufacture: April 2010}), I was told that my replacement monitor would be repaired. If the monitor had been working at least six months before he died, I would understand; Anyhow, since I decided to buy a new monitor rather than save some money by buying a refurbished one first, I'm quite disappointed that I didn't have a new monitor that I paid for over a month . If you're a high-risk gamer, I definitely recommend getting this monitor. Anyway, if you want to be sure you're getting what you paid for, I'd recommend considering another manufacturer.

Pros
  • I've had this monitor for a while it was a good monitor would buy again and at a great price.
Cons
  • Limited screen customization
