Review on πŸ”‹ MaximalPower Universal Battery Tester: Optimized for AA AAA C D 9V Button Cell Batteries - Status Checker by Amy Perry

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good battery tester with poor ergonomics

There is no battery compartment so it tends to roll sideways when you try to put it down to test. And when you do that, you also need to move the red handle to make contact with both ends of the battery to complete the circuit. I usually have to do this 2 or 3 times to get a reading; Usually if the needle doesn't move, the battery isn't completely dead - it's just that the battery isn't connected to the contacts. So repeat as needed. The tester is also upside down in the sense that the battery hangs with no support (other than your hand) to read the dial right side up; I just read the scale upside down. After overcoming these hurdles, the readings I've gotten so far give a pretty good idea of the remaining battery life. I haven't used it to test 9V batteries yet. .This would be a good tester if it corrected the ergonomic shortcomings mentioned above, but I did not see such a tester when I ordered it from Revain. But I think it's ok considering the low price.
