I used this kit to replace a broken clutch on my Kitchenaid mixer and it works great. My blender was heavily used for many years, sanded many times, and the old clutch came loose immediately with the wrench that came with it. The trick is to hold the shaft with a wrench and make sure it slides over the flats on the shaft, then grab the old clutch with large pliers and turn the clutch CLOCKWISE. It happens instantly. Put some anti-seize on the threads before screwing on the new coupler, beeswax is good, next change. I've only been using the new clutch for a few days, it's alright.
