I bought these to use mainly for interior trim and lighting but have also used them for small painted areas. I attached them to Adam's Mini Swirl Killer and was very pleased. They held up pretty well, but like any foam pad, they rip when you turn a corner. Some of them lost parts, but that's to be expected. The only thing that confuses me is that the difference between the density of black, white and orange foam is too big. Black and white are very soft and orange is almost too hard. If you're using a 3 inch polisher, that's because you're working with tight corners and obstacles. For this reason you really only need soft pads. They're still a good deal.
