This $70 tool does the job of a $200 tool. I'd almost be suspicious if it worked any better. This type of gauge, mechanical dial, not a liquid gauge, is not my favorite. But it's fairly durable and I don't have to deal with mercury. For that tradeoff, I'm willing to accept the fact that getting carbs *absolutely* perfect is a little harder. The system requires regular calibration. After all, sensors are quite cheap. Calibration is extremely quick and easy and requires a screwdriver. Indicator marks are ostensibly intended to aid in diagnosing specific valve timing and valve conditions, but are generally useless for this purpose on most bikes. The tool would probably be better if instead it only included a dial showing pressure/vacuum in PSI and MBAR, but I stress that this is a cheap tool that doesn't do its job perfectly, but for what it is , is remarkably good. .
