Review on Viozon Monitor Computer Laptops Notebook by Rebecca Bourassa

Best budget laptop mount but has a few issues

Let's preface this, for the amount of money you're paying you probably won't find anything better. For a much better arm + laptop mount/tray, be willing to pay around $150 compared to $80 for it. Let's move on to the positives though: + Sturdy enough + Flexible/highly adjustable + Nice to look at (for the money) + Easy to assemble + Laptop mount looks solid + Doesn't feel flimsy + Cheap (in dollar terms) Cons: - Poor Gaps between shaft and underarm hole - Laptop holder doesn't allow side USB/HDMI ports - Cheap (quality wise) The biggest problem with my particular stand is that the gap between the stand shaft and the plastic grommet in the underarm hole is too big ! That is, when the laptop is in position, its weight presses on the forearm, and due to the large gap, the forearm tilts several degrees, causing the laptop's screen to tilt severely. There's almost nothing you can do as the part where the gas arm meets the laptop tray doesn't have a tilt adjustment like my more expensive monitor arm. If you look at my photos, I had to use folded cardboard and poke it through the gap to try and fix it. Looks terrible and doesn't fix it completely. However, I don't have the time or money to buy a better one, so I'll have to live with it for now. While cheap, it does a great job, and while approvals and quality control aren't great, the hand feels solid. If you are on a tight budget I would advise you to stop looking and get this one. If you can afford it, I'd recommend the Revain Basics armrest, or the great Ergotron armrest if it's your itch, and your choice of VESA laptop tray.
