So, new to the hobby bought some Traxxas Slashes for the kiddos over xmas and most shops recommended 2S lipos hardcase 5000mah. Anyway, those were great but then I started getting deeper into the hobby myself, got into crawlers this past month and about 2 months ago got into 1/10 touring cars which let me to speed running said touring cars.Long story short, I kept using the same 2S batteries hoping for improved speeds. got a castle brushless setup, geared up the pinion, etc but still kept using the 2s batts.Anyway, got this cheap $18 batt and OMG! more wheel speed on the crawler got me up hills it would never go on with the old 2s battery. At least a 30-40% power/torque increase. Dusted off the old traxxas rustler and plan to do speed runs soon. Old record on a 2S was about 40mph, pretty sure she'll do 60 now so I can join that club!Best bang for the buck. A must buy if you're after wheel speed, top speed runs and improved bashing performance overall. Warning though, I believe the XL5 Esc in the traxxas won't handle a 3S lipo, but Castles BL setup will and I have a HobbyWing 1080 ESC for my crawler which can handle 3S, just be sure to check your ESC rating before going 3S.
