Great addition to Speedlites

This is a great addition to compact modifiers for your flashes. I use mine with a Godox AD200 flash on the go, mostly with a magnetic grid (sold separately). It can be a little tricky to put on, but once you put it on it stays there until you decide to take it off. There are two compact, powerful magnets on the device to ensure compatibility with the entire MagMod line of accessories. I mainly use it for on location wedding photography and the additional reticle helps me control the spread of the light into a narrow beam. This was a replacement for the one I had previously used. After years of abuse, the old one finally started to crack (I tend to be very rough on my gear unless it's a camera or lens). Because it's basically a giant rubber band with magnets, it can snap if given enough exposure to the elements or snags on sharp objects. As long as you're not as rough on your gear as I am, you should expect years of use from it!

Pros
  • DURABLE - MagGrip won't move or fall off your flash. Even after repeated use, it retains 99% of its elasticity. Whatever you do, MagGrip stays on your gear.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
