Other reviewers wrote that the mattress expanded to its full size later the day of installation. It's been three days and I'm still waiting for this thing to rise almost 4 inches let alone 5. There's not even enough fabric on the side to raise it 5 inches so I'm pretty sure right now it will. t. The description says it will reach 99% in 5-7 days as the amount increases. I called Revain the day I set it up to see how I could return it if after 7 days I'm still disappointed because it no longer fits in the box. I actually got him to turn an old baby bed into a large dog bed for him for Christmas. Shame I threw away his dog bed after installing it as I had high hopes for reviews showing plush raised mattresses. All you had to do was base your purchase on a couple of reviews stating it never got to 5 inches and keep looking for another product. I wouldn't recommend it - I can feel every slat of a crib through this mattress if I just lean over and squeeze lightly with my hand.
