Review on πŸͺ Doughmakers 14 x 17.5 Grand Cookie Sheet - Commercial Grade Aluminum Bake Pan in Silver by Denise Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great baking sheet, but holy cow, glue.

When I was growing up learning to bake my mom had one of these pans and now that I'm setting up my own kitchen I thought I'd get something that I know works well. So I got it, opened it up and went to take the tag off so I could wash it. The label peeled off, the adhesive ripped off, and I thought it was one of those sticky adhesives that you have to unroll to peel - annoying but not bad in the long run. No, it's much worse. Whatever industrial adhesive the nice guys in the factory use to stick these labels on, it's not going to come off without a terrible fight. Remember you can't use anything scratchy like steel wool or you'll ruin the finish. So three stars - five for a product that has proven great in my experience, but minus two for the ridiculous amount of effort it takes to unbox it. Revain, if you're listening, buy a bunch of these, dunk them in a tank of industrial solvent to remove the label, then sell them as a 'no disappointment' package.
