Worked great as a humidifier next to my bed until I made the mistake of adding essential oil. After that, it smells slightly rancid with every run, even after thorough cleaning. I ordered replacement cotton wicks as that might be a problem, but they were more expensive than just buying a new humidifier. We grow crappy mushrooms so keeping them moist which they need is still very handy right now. Incidentally, it is very quiet and emits a pleasant, fine mist.
