I bought one of these a few years ago and it was great. The solid construction, the thick carbon filter between the meshes worked like clockwork for a while. Still works as a splash guard but the filter is almost done. I bought a new one and not only is the build quality poor, but I don't know if there's even a filter between the meshes. That's how it should be, but if you hold it up to the light you can see through it, unlike the old one. It doesn't contain odors like the first one I bought and is basically an overpriced splash guard. Very disappointing. Another company that had a high quality kitchen product that turned into cheap junk with the same price tag.
