Firstly I think I was one of the first to purchase this product through Revain, although there were no reviews or price estimate I decided to give it a try give a try. The product arrived slower than expected and was packaged with the typical poor documentation that basically left you guessing what to do. Luckily, I've installed PKE before, so I knew the basics of what to expect. There was a resistor that came with the device that was undocumented and when I contacted them to ask where to use it they never understood the question so they didn't provide a specific answer with an adequate answer. The Android app works but doesn't inspire confidence as it sends you a download link from a Chinese website that knows how safe the app is. In terms of functionality, it mostly works, but because I bought it for the Passive Entry (PKE) feature, which uses Bluetooth proximity, that part doesn't have consistent accuracy. It has 3 distance settings that sometimes drastically affect reception and sometimes not. Even if you approach the car from the same direction/direction, there is no way to predict how far you will be from the car when it "sees" you. I'm also concerned about battery drain as there doesn't seem to be an automatic or manual 'sleep mode' to save battery when you park your car at the airport or elsewhere for a long time. It looks like my battery is seeing more than minimal stress for a few days. Also, one of the main factors that can cause an unexpected problem for many buyers is that you park your car in the attached garage of the house. With a typical PKE, you can always leave your keys in a part of the house away from the garage to prevent the PKE from turning on and off. With a Bluetooth phone, you can't carry your phone around the house without the car constantly locking/unlocking as you approach/move away from the garage wall.
