We have other reusable ice packs, bigger, and using the same concept. You add water once.Unfortunately, the other bigger pack developed a tendency to have one spot where it juts out. And these ice pack have the same tendency – I would guess a design issue since I followed to the letter every step of the instructions. Truthfully it is just a bit annoying, mostly cosmetic.This smaller packs have better instructions and as of now they behave as expected. They don’t have bulges, freeze quite flat. The duration they’ll stay cold depends on so many variables – from the cooler type (solid well insulated walls to soft walls., the size of the cooler, the state of the food item – already frozen, or almost defrosted or at room temperature. Still in a short test they were on par with my old method of zipper bag full of ice. I did not see a huge advantage to the ice packs temperature wise, but convenience wise it is nicer. Reusable, I don’t waste any resources – zipper bag/water. And they are slim and small, which will fit anywhere.Sturdiness – good, and hopefully will stay like this for a very long time, Value for money – since this is a 5 pack, but small in size – fair value only, Durability is similar to the sturdiness.
