These ice packs were just what I needed for when my family goes to the park on the weekend and we need to keep our drinks and other food cold. I always have these 5 bags ready to go in my freezer so I can just grab them whenever I need to use them. They are also good for trips to the grocery store on a hot day. They can prevent your ice cream from melting on the way home. You could even use these to put ice on an injury to reduce swelling. Just wrap them in a towel first.

We have other reusable ice packs, bigger, and using the same concept. You add water once.Unfortunately, the other bigger pack developed a tendency to have one spot where it juts out. And these ice pack have the same tendency – I would guess a design issue since I followed to the letter every step of the instructions. Truthfully it is just a bit annoying, mostly cosmetic.This smaller packs have better instructions and as of now they behave as expected. They don’t have bulges, freeze quite flat…

I had out some lasagna in my lunch bag with two of these Ice Packs. Then I was invited out to lunch and forgot about the bag. At the end of the day, the two ice packs were still frozen and the lasagna still cold. In the past I would have probably tossed the lasagna for being out so long, even in an insulated lunch bag. This time I was able to save the food for the next day.

I got these mainly to pack in our lunch boxes for work and they work great for that. They were easy to fill and freeze and they keep things cold.

These are a neat idea and I love that they are smaller and easier to store than the block style ice packs. All you do is fill them up and then freeze them. We did find they freeze better if you have the room to lay them flat in the freezer. They don't last as long as the block style ice coolers, but they are good enough for taking your lunch to work or going on a picnic. They are easy to clean and lay flat for storage when they are empty.

Because you add your own water, these ice packs are lightweight for shipping before filling. Once filled, they stay heavy.The powder that comes in them seems to lower the freezing point (more effective) and keep the water from getting funky over time. Unfortunately, it does not make them flexible when frozen. If you need an odd shape, you'll need to keep the ice pack in that shape during the freezing process. Easy to prep. Follow instructions for initial water fill, throw in freezer. Slim design takes little to no room in my cooler, and keeps the beer cold for hours! Will likely buy another set of 3.

We chose these ice packs because we wanted to keep food cold during road trips. They are easy to fill and freeze quickly. They work well to keep food and drinks cold, and they are an ideal size for our coolers.They do sweat as expected when they thaw, so you will need some napkins or towels to make them dry again. We will continue to use these for coolers.

These are really easy to fill, and are totally leakproof. They are the perfect size to fit in lunch bags, and are reusable with no issues. I haven't had to fill or use any additional ones yet, just the first one, so these are a really great deal because they will last for so long.

I’m changing my review… these are durable, perfect size for lunchbox or small cooler and they last longer than the more expensive brand in same size. I’ll definitely buy these when I need more.

These are a great idea however they require further development. I filled them precisely as directed and they froze as advertised. Once frozen, however, the side seam split open and the newly formed get oozed out all over everything.

So I've only ever used ice packs that come ready to use, and usually soft enough to bend a little around things. This was confusing to start with - fill with water, only a certain amount, plug, twist on top. and they they froze hard - not really bendable around food in lunch boxes. They're ok but I won't get these again.

I have the bigger ones and then got these smaller ones. Great for big coolers and even lunch boxes. They come empty, with a gel powder inside. Use the funnel to fill them up with water, use the plug to seal it and then once the cap is on, it locks it and doesn't back off. They're not indestructible but the bag itself is thick and pretty heavy duty. Good life span too, out of the freezer.
