A blast from the past. The original version was released by TOMY in 1976 and made in Japan. We have the original for comparison. Almost a copy of the shape, size and everything else! It's the same size as 1976! Dimensions: 6 inches long, 7 7/8 inches high, and 2 3/4 inches wide. NO leaks with us as we keep water inside all day. Rectangular elastic tongue on top versus the teardrop shape of the 1976 version. The snap is more than enough to hit the ball in the water. Cool that it comes with paper background in 6 styles. Only 3 and bilateral. Too bad they didn't make them out of waterproof plastic instead of paper. If you want these backdrops to last I would long term laminate them. I have OCD again. The original versions are quite collectible and can be found at various online auctions. New old NOS shares recently sold above $200. plus shipping costs! This version of the 2 Buck Chuck is recommended IMHO. Selling price around $15. You can't complain about the price. Great nostalgic memories. If ours ever leaks, I'll take it apart and fix it if necessary, like a handyman, builder and repairer! Seize the moment!
