. the old NorthFace Apex Bionic Soft Shell which I love. but after a few years of camping.

I have an old NorthFace Apex Bionic Soft skin that I love. But after years of camping in it and with a lighter color, I decided I wanted a second one in black because years of camping, dirt and grime around a campfire had made it dirty and unappealing. It still works great, but it's not suitable for wearing to work because it makes me look like a mudbag. So I wanted to pick up a second one to wear anywhere but the trail and leave the dirty one for the wild. Unfortunately my house was a pretty big mess and both of my cars were hit by Hurricane Matthew and a lot of things I wanted or needed this winter had to be trimmed so I could afford repairs. Then I found this black Columbia Ascender softshell and found that it was half the size of the north side, and better yet, the one with the electric blue zipper was even smaller! I didn't really like the blue zipper but after wearing it for a while it stuck to me and now I love it and am glad I wore it over a plain black on black. It was worth it for both the looks and the bargain price. The following information is based on my opinion of comparing the NorthFace Apex Bionic to this Columbia Ascender:1. The Columbia fits my figure better. It's wider at the shoulders, tapers slightly towards the waist, and the sleeves are slightly narrower compared to the Northface. The Columbia is more form fitting and flatters the body even if you don't have a perfect six pack physique (which I definitely don't have). The north side is generally cut looser, giving the illusion of a flattering body shape with the two-tone design (this obviously doesn't apply to the (TNF Black on Black version) version. .3. Waterproof, both are very impressive, both aren't). completely waterproof and I think Columbia is a bit better in this area. reticulated material in some places. Both are comfortable. Columbia is just more convenient. Also because of the fit, Columbia is tighter and Northface is a bit looser, so wearing this with your regular clothes to go to and from work, or in a sweater when working outside in the cold, Columbia will be comfortable. More layers and more comfortable. Cotton t-shirt and a wool-lined hoodie with North Face Bionic over it and I was warm and not restricted in my movements. awn and did not need a thick coat. Unless you're hiking and just sitting still for a few hours you'll need a warmer coat, but if you're active this will do with enough layers. If you prefer the Columbia look and want to layer as much as possible, buy one size larger than your actual size.
