I rarely leave a 1 or 2 star review on anything unless I feel it is something that the people really should know. We have several Apple products and none of them have broken with regular use. My son's iPad is the only one with this case. In my opinion the weight and rigidity of the case combined with the fact that it wraps around the top and bottom of the screen to hold it in place contributes to the screen tearing if it has any is subjected to shocks. The iPad's glass broke from top to bottom twice — once in May 2020 and once in July 2020, resulting in literally hundreds of dollars in unnecessary repairs. If you look at other bad reviews, you'll see that this is a trend. Sometimes an object needs leeway to avoid damage - even a skyscraper has a right to it! Think of iPad as passengers in a car. If you had to compare a clunky, heavy, old-fashioned metal car to a lighter, newer model car that collapses or breaks apart on impact, which car would do better to protect passengers from excess energy transfer in an accident? , the rear stand broke after a few weeks of infrequent use. Apparently this is not uncommon either.
