This may not be the most attractive shoe out of all the parties. They may seem a little heavy and mule-like, but they're incredibly comfortable. I paid a lot of attention to my shoes and was looking for comfortable, lightweight, thick-soled shoes and I actually found them. The fabric is like a stretchy cord. Not waterproof, of course, but breathable. I tend to wear wide shoes, but I don't think these shoes limit me. They come with a pair of removable inserts. The thick profile makes them heavy, but they're fairly light, making them ideal for walking. They also seem to take quite a bit of abuse and hold up quite well. If you are someone who is on their feet all day or does a lot of walking I would highly recommend them.
