I have 3 different styles of Used metal skewers and was surprised to find the best one. The chunky handle was easiest to hold with a grill mitt or tongs, allowing the meat to be quickly flipped in one turn. My delicate skewers with braided metal handles kept returning to their original position, threatening me with glowing opal ablaze! The two metal racks (included with the skewers) weren't as heavy as the racks I purchased separately, but they also held the skewers well and saved my wallet from a hard hit. These skewers didn't have the classic 1/2 inch or wider width popular in turkey for some reason, but they held moist marinated diced lamb well and easily penetrated the onion and pepper chunks without breaking the veggie chunks. These skewers will be my main skewers now, and the thin and sleek skewers will end up on a dusty garage shelf.
