This is the perfect passive soundbar to replace the front speakers (left center right) in a 5.1 surround sound system. The sleek looks and low height (3 1/4 inches with stand) make it ideal for most flat screen TVs that don't have enough room at the bottom of the screen for a center channel speaker. If it's still too tall, replace the TV feet with a height-adjustable TV table stand. I used a floating wall shelf to elevate the TV so the center channel speaker doesn't cover the bottom of the TV screen. I solved this problem by buying this passive soundbar and also getting rid of the front left and right speakers that were on stands. To look a little better on my TV cabinet, I also bought a height-adjustable desktop TV stand. I now have what I think is ideal. The sound quality is excellent and pairs perfectly with my powered subwoofer and rear speakers! Great speaker for the money and about $300 less than most other similar passive soundbars.
