Good construction, but rough, unwaxed wooden handle.
I had an all wood peel a few years ago, then I retired and moved and who knows where that thing went. This bowl has a wooden handle and is not very smooth. I'm hoping this will "fix" over time, but I may need to sand the thing down with fine sandpaper and wax it. I like the aluminum plate - it makes it easy to slide over the pizza stone and I use some cornmeal. The handle is securely attached to the aluminum plate with about 5 factory sealed pins so it shouldn't wobble or deteriorate over time, but we'll see - I love my homemade pizza!
