I had high hopes for this unit. My original lasted about 3 years before the sun hit the suction cup. Prior to installing this window, I washed the window with a good quality glass cleaner and then cleaned the installation site with the alcohol wipe provided in the kit. When I first installed the part it stuck well. When I returned to the truck after 90 minutes of shopping, the extraction failed. Now the device doesn't even stay connected for 5 minutes. complete failure.
