For those who don't use a microphone this is a great camera, 5 stars for 5MP video and a well thought out external Micro SD card slot. I would give 4 stars overall IF ONLY the sound was as good as the 4MP model. Since the audio is as bad as others have reported, and because customer service doesn't spot bad audio, I can't use the better 5MP version. The sound is intermittent, distorted and weak. The volume should be set to MAX. The 5-megapixel audio version is unusable because squelch was added without custom threshold, attack, or release time settings. There is no firmware fix. Unfortunately I'm sending all 3 back for a refund.
