I bought this phone holder for my new bike. I have a larger phone, with a case that's just over 7 inches high and 3.5 inches wide (0.5 inches deep btw). I was afraid my phone wouldn't fit in it, but it did. And this holder is heavy! I'm pretty sure it's more for a touring bike than just a bike. The phone is literally immobile in the mount, and the way it's designed (with the protective phone case I already have) is too if it should, for some crazy unplug the bike, the phone will survive. I'm talking about 30 km/h. This is a shared unit. I would prefer this to those that have rubber or elastic corner straps any day of the week. This is quite easy to fit, just don't expect the included "wrench" to fit nuts that attach to U-rings. The screwdriver provided was only useful for lengthening the side rails and I already had one, It's actually so durable that I'm more worried about ruining my phone by plugging it in or out than I'm worried about the phone falling .10/10
