I bought this for my son to use in college to protect his desktop from theft. It attaches easily and works well. We took out insurance on his personal belongings at college, and one of the policy clauses said the items had to have proof that they were stolen. This product would have to be ripped from the back of its desktop and if it were, there would be clear signs of theft and tampering. This product has kept his computer safe so far.
