Second cable needs to be longer

After buying 2 I have one big and one small complaint: the second cable needs to be about 30cm longer. Using two devices means that one cannot comfortably reach the other side of my 13 inch laptop as it gets stuck in landscape mode and/or is not positioned securely. Of course you can move the cable down, but that won't work if the cable isn't connected. have enough slack to go more than twice the width of the laptop (the "more" due to the cable's stiffness makes it less flexible). The second…

  • Very good value for money

Great but cables need cleaning before use

Great but cables need cleaning before use. The cables were brand new, still sealed in their bag from the factory, but when I took them out of the bag they had greasy stains on them. My guess is that the cables are placed in some sort of mold and then epoxy is poured around the metal cables to create a plastic coating and the greasy residue is a "release agent" that is applied to the mold to help the cables release can detach from the mold. I'm not sure why those brand new cables had this greasy

Nice Lock Electronics

I use it for my laptop and external hard drive at work. The lock is easy to use, durable so far. It's convenient to have two locks on one cable. In my opinion it's much easier to have a key than a combo. One thing to note is that if you don't have a sturdy table leg or something else to secure the lock to, you'll need a dowel to screw it into the table. I suggest the Targus PA400P Defcon Security Baseplate which you can buy on Amazon. I was able to route the cables through and mount the base…

Great for locking two computers

Great for locking two computers, computer and monitor etc. My only complaint is that you have a slightly protruding handle on your device to lock it. This ties your mind to the cable, of course, but can be a bit awkward if you move devices around a lot and stuff them in sleeves, backpacks, etc.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Fantastic design! - Cable Guards

Whoever invented this is a genius. I've used several cable locks in the past, but what appealed to me about this one is that you can lock 2 computers at the same time. My wife and I each take a laptop with us on long trips and this seemed like a good alternative to our new laptops which may not fit in a standard hotel safe. Even better, there's nothing to fiddle with when connected to a computer. It simply snaps onto the anchor without the use of a wrench and is then removed with a quick turn…

Good product! at Computers & Accessories

I ordered these for a preschool that put 2 laptops on the table for their students. They had three classrooms and three desks so I had to buy 6 laptop locks. . However with these locks I only had to buy 3 which saved me money. Since both locks use the same key, the teacher can have one key and remove the other if lost. And it's much easier to keep track of 3 different keys than 6 different keys. You use the key to unlock them when you put your laptops away at the end of the day, but when you…

Great product - easy to use

As a professional host, I like to lock my laptop and projector when I'm out - my friend (probably hotel staff) had his gear stolen during his lunch break. I have previously purchased a 'regular' Kensington twin lock kit (K64025F, Kensington MicroSaver Twin Lock for Laptops and Monitors) and found it very stiff and a bit difficult to use. Kensington slots on your laptop and projector (or other devices). This is a one off job, the tab only sticks out about 1/4 inch and is very strong when…

good design and works well on Mac or PC

Many of these locks have been used on many MacBook Pros (which provide a full office) as well as laptops. Yes, the anchor sticks out, but what do you expect. You have to attach it to something. everything is working well. The only thing I would like to change about the design is to make the second cable longer so that the 2 devices you are connecting are not next to each other. This small improvement would be worth a fifth star!

It works and is easy

I have a Sony laptop with a weird lock hole. I had to make a seal out of a small piece of plastic from a yogurt container, but that was Sony's fault, and the lock is secure and easy to pop and remove. I just bought a second one for my secondary screen and desktop box. My computers won't work without a desk or dresser attached.
