I ordered these for a preschool that put 2 laptops on their students' desks. They had three classrooms and three desks so I had to buy 6 laptop locks. However with these locks I only had to buy 3 which saved me money. Since both locks use the same key, the teacher can have one key and remove the other if lost. And it's much easier to keep track of 3 different keys than 6 different keys. You use the key to unlock them when you put your laptops away at the end of the day, but when you take them out in the morning, simply press the cover latch that you place on your laptop. Therefore, they are quite easy to use. I would recommend these to anyone who has two devices close together that need to be secured (they should have a lock slot). They were perfect for our situation.
