I use it for my laptop and external hard drive at work. The lock is easy to use, durable so far. It's convenient to have two locks on one cable. In my opinion it's much easier to have a key than a combo. One thing to note is that if you don't have a sturdy table leg or something else to secure the lock to, you'll need a dowel to screw it into the table. I suggest the Targus PA400P Defcon Security Baseplate which you can buy on Amazon. I was able to route the cables through and mount the base plate under the table.
